Deployment Ministry

The Omaha Bible Church South (OBCS) Deployment Ministry is here to equip, serve, and encourage OBCS attendees who are facing a military deployment.  The duty of a soldier may call for short or lengthy deployments that can be very difficult for our military families. 

During these times, deployed soldiers are decisively engaged with their military mission and the requirement to support and maintain their family unit back home.  The non-deployed spouse is faced with managing the household, finances, children, and everyday life.

Since we have many military families in our body, this is a great opportunity for us to help bear their burden and to minister to them.  If you are deploying, know of someone who will be deploying or if you would like to serve in this ministry, please contact Dean and Lori Degner

The Care Group ministry will be heavily involved in this ministry. If you are in the military and are not yet involved in a Care Group, we encourage you to join one.

Our ministry leaders exist to encourage, exhort, and to edify the members of our body in an individual and personal way.

Prayer

Small-group gatherings meet every Sunday during the morning message to pray for God's work through His Word in the lives of men and women attending the service.

Prayer for the needs of the body are facilitated through an e-mail distribution list.  Prayer requests can be sent to prayer@omahabiblechurch.org. Additionally, prayer requests are gathered via a weekly prayer sheet that is passed around and updated during Adult Bible School.

Counseling

The elders and pastors are committed to biblical counseling that changes lives and provides hope in accordance with God's biblical plan of personal sanctification. Contact the church office for more information.

Homebound & Hospital Visitation

Bearing the burdens of one another through physical and spiritual encouragement.  Contact the church office for more information.

Funerals Providing support to families and assisting with arrangements.  Contact the church office for more information.

Weddings

It is our pleasure and delight to assist in the union of a believing couple. Omaha Bible Church provides a reception coordinator, wedding coordinator, and officiating pastor to make the wedding planning a smooth and enjoyable experience.  Contact the church office for more information.

Body Life Giving

This ministry coordinates information as it pertains to the needs of the body. Body Life matches the needs of our church family with the means. Please fill out the reverse side of the OBC ministry card attached to the weekly bulletin to list an available item or a particular need.
